Autumn Newsletter

Yet once more, o ye laurels, and once more, No, I have not taken leave of my senses, but, like Milton, I have a feeling of deja vu.  Here we are again, the silly season, when new publications come flooding in on a daily basis.  Every year we wonder how we can possibly accommodate the influx, and then we move back cookery, expand entertainment and..... Off we go again!

This year we have some really standout titles: the latest volume of Alan Bennetts diaries; biographies from Jeremy Paxman, Ken Clarke and Tony Robinson; wonderful fiction from Robert Harris, Margaret Atwood and Victoria Hislop.  That is not to mention a whole raft of political biographies and an amazing collection of dog books from Monty Dons Nigel to Ben Fogles Labrador.

For those of you who are fans of the new Ladybird series we have the latest titles including Zombie Apocalypse, The Sickie, and Cats and Dogs.  Also, for reluctant adult readers, we have the latest titles in the spoof version of Janet and John, but definitely for adult readers only.

Once more we have added to our gift section with a range of notebooks and note cards.  Our calendar selection is small but the beautifully produced Newlyn Artists Calendar, which has been our bestseller for the last few years, is with us again and very reasonably priced at £9.99.
